For the separation of racemates into pure enantiomers on an industrial scale the classical Pasteur resolution via diastereomeric salts is still used more than 50% of the time. Syncom has long experience in this technique and is also particularly well known as the discoverer of the highly effective variant known as Dutch Resolution.
In this approach mixtures of two or three structurally similar and homochiral resolving agents are used. Well over 1000 different racemates have been resolved with this technique. Success rates are very high and the process is especially well suited for fast, small scale work.

Syncom knows how to scan your racemate quickly and to obtain crystalline material with a good diastereomeric excess. This is almost always the biggest barrier in a Pasteur resolution.
In further refinements Syncom has discovered that nucleation inhibition and solid solution formation both play a role in Dutch Resolution. Syncom is specialized in the development of selective nucleation inhibitors to improve resolution.
